Hello, my name is Amy.
I became a nurse in 2014 after completing my nursing degree at Kingston University, most of my training was done at St. George's Hospital in Tooting, London where they now film 24 hours in A&E as seen on channel 4.
My first professional job was in Medway foundation trust hospital in Gillingham where I started as a staff nurse and worked my way up to a ward manager.
I moved into a nursing home setting in 2017 as I wanted to see another side of nursing and do what I'm passionate about, looking after people. This is not just about helping them with their medicine and attending emergencies but helping them eat and drink, getting dressed, moving around and spending time getting to know everything about them and their families.
In 2018 I went to the University of Greenwich at Avery Hill to study and train in ear irrigation, and I have been doing ear irrigation treatments ever since I completed the course. During the time I have been qualified I have also diagnosed inner ear infections and recommended people contact their GP for antibiotics. Mostly I diagnose and treat wax blockages using specialist machinery and the training and experience gained in the last 4 years to remove all problem wax.
I decided to open my own business as I saw my friends and family struggling to see their GP's, as we all have in the past 2 years, or the GP's no longer providing a syringing service anymore. I knew I could help fill the gap and provide an at-home service where your ears can be treated in the luxury of your own house with no need to worry about transport, traffic or baby / pet sitting.
